CSR Telkomsel In Brief

Jakarta, 5 February 2007

Dear Stakeholders,
During these last five years, Indonesia has been suffering from tremendous disasters happening almost everyday, tsunami, land slides, typhoons, bird flu and many others. The recent one is the flood invading Jakarta and its vicinities. Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Body ("BMG") predicted that the flood would last until the end of February.
Based on our experience in helping people during the disasters and catastrophes, Telkomsel together with other members of Telkom Group and SingTel are confident to continuously hold Corporate Social Activities ("CSA") through cooperation with charity or social institutions.
We firmly believe that everyone does care about activities to lessen the impacts of the disasters and to help the victims. In this opportunity we would like to invite everyone to participate in our CSA program. The Program could take various forms, depending on the incidents.
The program we are holding now is relating to the recent Jakarta flood, the program of which basically provides several integrated centers/post that we call Posko Kita Peduli. These Poskos serve as emergency center/posts providing water and food, public kitchen, medical assistance, traumatic center, temporary clinics, temporary toilets, and others to help the refugees. In highlights, the Poskos are:

In cooperation with Indonesian Red Cross ("PMI") covering locations in the district of Cilincing (one of the most suffered locations in Jakarta);
In cooperation with MER-C covering Jakarta sub-districts of Kampung Melayu, Rawa Jati, Rawa Buaya, Tanah Merah, Cipinang Muara, and Condet.

Any parties who wish to contribute could also send their donation through the account of KOMUNITAS TELKOMSEL PEDULI number 0118068922 In Bank BNI Dukuh Bawah Jakarta. This account is maintained separately from Telkomsel’s business activities and would be periodically audited by a public accountant firm. We would also report the results of the audit to all participants and donators.
